Training & CPD

Specialist training for those who support children

Therapy is most effective when the adults around a child — teachers, teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents — share the same understanding and the same practical toolkit. Our training equips you with both.

How our training works

Our training is designed to do more than inform — it equips. Most of our courses come with an intervention-ready toolkit: a structured set of materials, strategies and tracking tools that staff can use the day after the training. Outcome-tracking tools allow Senior Leadership to measure the impact of each intervention at no additional cost.

We deliver in person or online, on INSET days, twilight sessions or as bespoke programmes built around your team’s needs.

For schools investing in long-term capacity, we offer train-the-trainer pathways. A nominated member of staff is supported to become the in-house lead, cascading skills across the team and reducing dependency on external providers over time.

What we train on

Our most-requested topics, grouped by theme. All can be delivered as standalone sessions, INSET, twilight CPD, or as part of a wider training programme.

  • Creating a Neuroaffirming Environment — practical changes to classroom, language and structure
  • Trauma-Informed Practice — understanding behaviour and play communication through a trauma-informed lens, with structured frameworks for resilience-building

  • Supporting d/Deaf Children — practical strategies for inclusive practice in mainstream settings

For parents

All our training topics are available to parent groups, and we run dedicated parent workshops within partner schools. We also offer 1:1 parent coaching for families navigating the SEND journey.

Bespoke training

If your school, trust, or local authority needs something we haven’t listed, we build bespoke training packages around your specific context. Recent commissions have included whole-trust safeguarding-and-trauma days, in-house SENCO development pathways, and parent-and-staff joint workshops on transition.

Tell us what you’re trying to change, and we’ll design training that’s actually capable of changing it.

Accreditation & standards

Many of our courses are CPD-accredited. Our trainers are HCPC-registered therapists or experienced specialists in their field, and our content is evidence-based, child-led and aligned with the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and current NICE guidance.
