Qualifications & Training:

  • BSc (Honours)
  • MA Play Therapy (BAPT accredited)
  • Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy – Cert 1 (beginning)
  • ASSIST Applied Suicide Intervention Training
  • Shark Cage (Domestic Violence) Training

 

Training/specialities:

In addition to Claire’s role as play therapist, she coordinates, designs and delivers a systemic intervention and professional development outreach program around child sexual exploitation and child criminal exploitation across London, informed by contextual safeguarding and trauma-sensitive practice. Previous roles include youth outreach project coordinator, designing/implementing interventions and professional development around domestic violence, sexual assault and hate crime, independent domestic violence case worker (IDVA), child and family program coordinator (refugee and asylum seeker populations), as well as working alongside LGBTQIA+ populations, and children with complex medical needs and disability.

Interest areas:

working with families, child and youth education in healthy relationships and sexual health, neuroscience and childhood trauma.

 

Fun Fact: Claire enjoys cycling, dancing, and making her own clothes and jewellery.
